The Bible has much to say about sickness and about healing. The book of James exhorts us: Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord (Jas 5:14). It is an act of both obedience and faith to seek the healing hand of the Lord in prayer, and we invite you to join us the evening of November 13, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., to pray and to be prayed over. If you long for healing—whether physical, mental, or spiritual—or if you seek prayer for the healing of someone you love, come, and together we will raise our petitions up. As Jesus taught us by word and example, our first desire will always be that our Father’s will be done. After all, Christ already accomplished that most remarkable of miracles: the great hope, the promise of life eternal in Him. Yet He continues to work in our mortal lives in ways both obvious and invisible, and so we seek His divine touch, be it obvious or invisible. Our elders will be present with anointing oil for those who seek to fulfill the instruction in James. We will have a time of confession, thankfulness, intercession, and above all worship and praise together. Come, and invite others who are hurting, to be lifted before the throne of the Most High in that Name above all names, Jesus Christ.
